Most of us Windows users probably have WinZip 8.0.  That's all the
backup software I have needed.  It will backup directly to your CD and
it allows incremental backups (using the archive bit).  Before spending
money for something else, give it a try.

The Adaptec Easy CD Creator software that is frequendly bundled with
CD-RW drives provides this feature (write to CD-RW media using its
default drive letter) as well, so many may have this capability
already.  A CD-RW drive and a few (under 50 cent) disks sure is less
expensive than a zip drive and 40 zip disks at more than $5.00 each.
