Subject: [CQ-Contest] SO2R Vertical antenna?
Message-ID: <00cb01c12361$d9e13720$5e24b218 at adrian1.mi.home.com>
I'm setting up the station for some SO2R operation and would like to get
some input on a second antenna system.
I presently have a Force 12 C3 and dipoles on 40 and 80. All these antennas
are in close proximity to each other. I have a space in the back of my
postage stamp size lot where I could erect a vertical antenna for use on the
second radio. I'm considering the Cushcraft R-8 or the GAP Titan. This
vertical would be the main antenna for use on second station. I also have a
second 40 meter dipole that is now up in the back of the lot and available
for on the second radio.
In the opinion of others on this list, what would be the best vertical to
choose, the R8 or the GAP Titan?? I operate both domestic and DX contests.
Thanks in advance for your input.
