Thanks for clarifying that for me Tom.
It seemed that Bill's post was talking mainly about 160M Contests so I
thought there was some relevance there.
Outside the 160M contests the DX window isn't as big a factor towards
working DX. No more than the 75 SSB DX window has been on 75 meters.
Actually the entire band plan will all be ignored by many unless the FCC
makes it mandatory. I suppose that's where the committee is taking this.
My only concern outside of the contests is that CW DXers have an area on
160M where they can work CW DX without a SSB roundtable on the frequency.
We suffered through that situation here in Texas for many years with a
local group camped on 1823 KHz at our sunrise. But, oddly enough, this SSB
roundtable disappeared or QSYed this past winter. I sure hope they don't
come back.
