...apologizing.
I typed 2 MHz but I meant 200 Khz then I was trapped (local 23:50) into the
wrong comparison with 10m and added what's between parenthesis in rewiewing
the message.

My apologies to the UK guys who have endured this story already.

I bought a Beta version of the PIEXX board a couple of years back and =
installed it in my 930. Whilst generally the radio came back to life, =
there were a few problems some of which I was able to sort. The main one =
associated with low sensitivity remained and I just put the radio on one =
side. I am now determined to get it completely working but I need help.

There are three distinct problems :

1 - The radio is now lacking in senstivity. Signals are definately 2-3 =
s-points down on my MP.

2 - The 930 shows a 2.3KHz difference in frequency readout to that of =
the MP

3 - Checks with UK 930 owners indicate typically :
- My 930 - On 80m ssb, a signal on LSB, switching to CW it tunes in =
with RIT offset at +1.4KHz
- Others - Tune with an offset of around -0.9KHz

Coincidentally the figure of 2.3KHz appears in both problems.

Strangely enough signals appear to tune in ok, although I can't remember =
where the SSB slope tune controls used to be.
Also, I have had to temporarily tweak the pitch trimmer to bring the =
sidetone into the passband.

My suspicions are that since all these things were ok before the demise =
of the original digital board and before I fitted the PIEXX board, the =
problems are associated with some parameters on the new board. If =
injection frequencies were wrong somehow, then levels will probably be =
incorrect accounting for the lower sensitivity.

(Back in the 1970s I was involved with Frequency Division Multiplex =
stuff in the telecomms industry and this kinda thing was everyday life, =
now it is just a haze!!)

I am going to e-mail Chris at PIEXX but I wondered if anyone had any =
suggestions before I did so.

I really would like to get the 930 going again. 73 Chris G3SJJ (op =
at GU8D in IOTA Contest)
