Arturo, etal,
I struggled with this too. It had my calendar screwed up. Jerking weekends
around on short notice does not go over well at home! The definition of a
"full weekend" has nothing to do with what day a contest starts on. Friday is
NOT part of the weekend.
The ARRL needs to change the definition to read that the "ARRL 160m contest
starts on the Saturday following the 1st Friday of December." The date for the
10m contest needs to be worded similarly, "ARRL 10m contest starts on the
Saturday following the 2nd Friday of December."
By the way does Field Day start on the 22nd or the 29th of June 2002? You can
start setting up on Friday, so does it count as a weekend for the purpose of
the schedule???? How about the ARRL DX contests in 2003.
