Thanks to all for responses regarding the 920. The general consensus seems
to be that it is a heck of a value, and a great 6 meter rig and with the
inrad filters, it gets "close" to being a real contest radio. We'll see what
Santy Claus thinks.

Subject: [CQ-Contest] FT-920 a contest rig?
I've read a lot in the archives about this rig and I think the general
consensus at least as of a few years ago was that it is not a serious
contest rig. Any thoughts lately on the subject. Are any of you guys using
this rig for serious HF contesting? I know the INRAD filters help out, but
do they make it a competition grade rig for serious contesting? In any
event, I am currently using a worn out 940 and an elderly 930 so maybe
anything is a step up.
73 and thanks,
Matt--K7BG
