I think everyone has their version of what is acceptable post contest log
checking practice. I personally subscribe to the at 00Z the contest is
over and the log is turned in (as is) method. Mostly because going
through a log after the contest would be a horrible bore.

But a friend of mine gets this email after the CQWW contest from a very
well known contester and asks for advice...

I don't know who sent this mail and I'm not going to say who got it. But,
I wanted to post it here so that if anyone was confused or unsure about
this type of email... You shouldn't be! It is against the rules and you
shouldn't do it.

Hello Contesters and DXers from Italy
Bon Giorno Buona Sera
PU2VYT (YL) and me, will be travelling
around Italy between December 27 and
January 04. Will begin in Rome and finish
in Milano, visiting also Firenze and Venice.
During two days, we will be at Caerano di
San Marco, close to Venice. At any of these
cities, would be interesting to contact you,
old ham friends, to have a dinner or drink
a bottle of good wine...
Even if not possible, would like to contact you
to have some sugestions about these four
cities, including good "off-touristic" points
to visit.=20
We are still begining in Italian language, two
months learning, and this is the reason that I
am not writting here in Italian... Anyway, I can
read ALMOST everything ok in Italian hi hi hi...
Thanks everybody...
