[CQ-Contest] What country...

The below mentioned is another of my informal hobbies, checking for aircraft
tail numbers (and their country of registration) in the movies. One of the
most common discrepancies is Canadian aircraft in movies that are supposed
to be taking place in the U.S., obviously many U.S. movies are made in
Canada. The opposite can also be true. Some of the others can be more
interesting. Sometimes its just a jolt to see a 9J or a PY or other tail
number even if the movie is supposed to take place in any of those
countries. You have to be quick, though, they don't spend any time on those
shots. Freeze frame, anyone?

Just color me lazy then.

Personally I log every dupe, if for no other reason than
sometimes they are not dupes. I tend to run with a
fairly tight filter, especially on CW, and often the supposed
first contact is really a ghost contact, where the "duper"
worked someone hidden from me by propagation or my
filters, and in perfect timing with my response.

With all kind wishes,

de Hans, K0HB
