This is one of the most important things in station design, but it seems to
be the last thing people get around to doing.

My station is designed for single op or multi 2. If you use an SO2R box, or
1 computer, it is impossible to xmit at the same time. In multi 2 you can of
course.
This left me with an interesting problem for the 10mtr contest. I set up
like multi 2.
The second radio used a footswitch to put it into transmit on both modes. If
the main radio was xmtg, it would open the footswitch line.
If you want to work somebody on the second radio, you must stop the main
radio or the footswitch won't work.
Very easy and foolproof on both modes. Took me 10 mins to wire it up.

Since we only had 1 operator at a time, it didn't much matter anyway, but it
was there in case. It's much easier to manage with one operator.

There is no reason why everyone can't do something to prevent simultaneous
signals.
If you don't, then it is just plain cheating.
