I agree with K5KG's SS posting on packet and what should be posted...

Bottom line - as long as you are at it why don't you post their check and
precedence, too...and what number he just gave out so you can guess closer!

Oh by the way make the contest shorter too....I have to watch a game, move a
bookcase for the wife and mow the yard so I cannot have it infringing on my
weekend so much ya know....

Life is about choices - if your choice is to contest - behave like a
competitor (not like a 12 year old who wants to watch MTV til dawn!)

Better yourself (not just your score but your operating technique) through
contesting!

It's Monday night, and I'm reading all of the complaints about the low
Sunday
rates. There are lots of complaints, and it takes a lot of time. The
deeper I
get into this the more I have to say,

      I love the SS.

I love contests. I had a lot of fun Sunday. At N6VR we as a multiop
had
about 12 consecutive hours Sunday of just almost keeping pace with
last
year's results despite remarkably poor participation, and I have a
triumphant
and ecstatic emotion regarding our success. A year ago we tied for
first
place in the contest (multiop class), and we will be down about 3-4
places
from that this year, but our effort and contesting prowess this year
was 100
QSO's ahead of last years. At the N6VR multiop this year we overcame
the poor Sunday turnout by out-operating our effort of last year. I
wouldn't
want to see the contest shortened, that's for sure. Maybe some minor
rules
tweak may be useful, but don't shorten the contest. There's only one
SS
per year, and I couldn't bear to lose this feeling.
