Yes, its a good move. But why don't we also
reduce the 5-to-1 point advantage for working
DX so that it will take K5ZD/1 more than 15
hours of operating to beat the score of a
full time W9 multi-op?

I know we are supposed to lose back here, but
that is ridiculous.

Subject: [CQ-Contest] 2003 CQ 160 Change Coming

Good news from the CQ 160 Committee:

"Starting with 2003 the CQ 160 Contests will be changed to
48-hour contests to conform with most other worldwide contests. The
starting time will be 0000Z on Saturday and the ending time 2359Z on
Sunday. This gives stations in all areas of the world two night
openings. The CQ 160 Committee is considering limiting everyone to
a maximum of 30 hours so the need to keep the keyer running all day will
not be necessary. Send your comments along with your logs (agree or
disagree)".

Thanks to Dave and the CQ 160 Committee for moving things in
the right direction. I personally hope the 30 hour rule is adopted
since it will make the contest much more fun by eliminating the daylight
drudgery!

                                                73, Bill W4ZV
