Hi Jay...

That's ridiculous...

The truth is that MM can be a lot of fun, even if you've never done 
it before.  No, you won't win, and maybe that's why folks said it was 
unwise, but 2 or 3 guys can have a lot of fun messing around and run 
up a big (though not winning) score in the process.

But you're probably not going to win a lot of contests from VY1 
anyway, so I say go for it and have fun!

The main thing to consider is inter-station interference.  You want 
the separate bands to be able to work at the same time with a minimum 
of interference from each other.  That means separating antennas as 
much as possible, bandpass filters, etc.  A lot goes into building an 
effective MM station, but you can always start small and work up.
