[CQ-Contest] What About EU Contesting?

The voices from outside of the USofA have been quiet during this extended period of North American self-examination.  Contest participation from Zones 14, 15, and 16 seems to be way up - how are you guys accomplishing this?  Are you helped or hindered by your national societies?  Seems like we Yanks could make use of some of your wisdom on this.
