My take:

Summary - It is perfect fit - othwer than n0t being at the best time of year
for radio propagation!

Why:

...the event has to take place in the context of another contest - why upset
the two biggees - CQWW and ARRL - they are the Kings

...the event has to be during a contest which allows both phone and cw
operating to be showcased - need I say more

...W's need to be able to work W's and DL's need to be able to work DL's -
when susnspot conditions are low and you have marginalized DXing you still
need rate!

.......is there another bi-modal worldwide event that is on all the HF bands
that will work?

Don't think so!
