I use multimedia headsets designed for connection to a computer.  (with
all the recent chatter about Internet telephony these might become more
popular?)  

Right now I've got two pair of Labtec LVA-8322's I bought in the flea
market at Dayton two years ago.  All but the very cheapest headsets will
work though, and work well and comfortably.
