Dear Fellow Contesters,
We would like to invite you to take part in LZ DX Contest which will be held
this weekend - 12.00 Z Saturday 23rd of November till 12.00Z Sunday 24th of
November.
Contest is with new rules starting 2003 - please read the rules and FAQ on
http://www.qsl.net/lz1fw/contest .
It is the first contest which has 10 min rule for mode and not for band.
This allows the operator to be able to move the multiplier on different
bands within seconds, while at the same time he/she is also allowed to work
same station once on CW and once on SSB on each band. With these new rules
we hope we have made LZDXC probably the most dynamic contest these days.
Thus every participant would have real fun working in this one.
Contest Committee also informed me that a continental winners in all
multiband categories will be anounced as well and these will be awarded
diplomas, too.
We also would like to thank the developers of SD, WriteLog and AA Log
who have accomodated in short time their contest sofware to the new rules
of LZDXC. Programs which support LZDXC now are :
TR Log
SD
WriteLog
AA Log ( contest module is free - http://www.aalog.com )
RA9JB ( free can be downloaded from http://www.qrz.ru )
Gen Log of W3KM ( free can be downloaded
http://www.qsl.net/w3km/gen_log.htm )
CT of K1EA can be used in IARU Contest module in which LZ areas are
recognized by the program as HQ stations abreviation )
The participant preferably should send an electonic log as a plain text file
( ASCII or preferably Cabrillo file generated by the program he is using)
You do NOT need to calculate the points or multipliers or score - the log
checking program developed by LZ1FW will do it for you.
You only need to send your log with all QSOs made and to clearly state the
category you are claiming your score in. Check the FAQ file for more
details.
All LZ contesters are hoping that you'll join them making some QSOs and of
course having fun.
Being the last contest before CQWW CW LZDX Contest is a nice chance for you
to check your antennas and to sharpen your contest skills :-))
See you all on the bands.
73's de Wally LZ2CJ ( LZ8T in the contest)
