Over the years, Bill and I conversed many times on the phone, in person,
by email, IM, and of course on the radio. It was one of those
friendships where each conversation simply picked up where the last one
left off.

I always admired his skills, passion, drive, and success in everything
he did - ham radio, biking, business, and ... well, just being Bill
Fisher - honest, independent-thinking, plain-spoken and sometimes
controversial; yet generous, fair-minded, creative, innovative, and
dedicated to the people and hobbies he loved.

Winning the CQWW from Georgia against all odds and defying conventional
wisdom. The first 400 in the Sprint. Too many other contest conquests to
list. Designing and building that mountaintop station, rarely asking for
help, yet offering it freely to visitors. Conceiving, building, and
maintaining eHam, Contesting.com and the rest. Always pushing the
envelope.

All of us who knew him personally and the entire ham radio family are
greatly diminished by his loss.

73, and RIP, OM.
