[CQ-Contest] Contest Conflict

How do you operate a contest from a VCR?

Seriously, in years past, I missed many CQWW CW's due to the contest 
being Thanksgiving weekend, and family plans interfering with my 
contesting plans.  You have to determine your priorities.
