In 1973 my young friend Jim White, K4OJ, did a terrific characterization of Nose, KH6IJ, on CW:

As always with Jim, you had to be there, to hear this comical impersonation.

The point was that Nose was in a hurry. That's what contests are all about  ... "regular hamming speeded up" (Ed Tilton, W1HDQ).
