Yes and even more participation is needed from contesters who go to a DX location for a contest. I have ZF2NT & HC8N confirmed on all bands, via LOTW. These stations generate enormous contest logs but yet they take a few extra minutes to upload their logs to LOTW. There are a large number of contest stations who submit their cabrillo log, submit their 'brag' to 3830, but won't take the extra 2 minutes to upload to LOTW. I'm referring to U.S. ops who go on these contest expeditions.
LOTW is a nice service and after you get the 'hang' of it very, very, easy to use.

LoTW is absolutely great. What it needs right now is more
  participation, especially from DX operators.

Obtaining LoTW credentials is a rather involved process for a DX
station -- but the LoTW is worth it. A few big M/M stations have
already achieved 5-Band DXCC through LoTW, but it's a lot harder for us
  little guns.
