[CQ-Contest] CQing is only for big guns - NOT! (Was QRPers),

Even with a small signal - CQing is required to maximize your score. What
does change is the frequency that you try to use. Don't expect to have
much success on 14040 with 5 watts. Not even the mighty W5WMU antenna
system is up to that. However, go down to 14010 or 14080 and you will
have success.

I remember doing a phone ss QRP from Oregon once - and spent a lot of
time up a few khz from the very top of the phone bands.

After all - with all of the QRP activity - how will any of them work
each other if nobody calls CQ?

Best approach is to use two radios and CQ all weekend with one and S&P
with the other. If you are running 5 watts, you can probably work
up a duplexer for your multi-band antenna to make it work.

Just wish more QRPers knew what "prec" meant.
