  Gents,

Implementing of 1-pointers would turn the CQ WW contests upside down and might totally discourage people from participation. Why? Because there will be 2 countries in the world addicted to be winners, being USA and Germany...

I'm sure, you've already got my point.

OK, who can bit DA0HQ in the IARU Contest or even approach their result? Virtually nobody, with some exceptions, especially recently. And the reason is simple, as a matter of fact they simply work whe whole DL call-book in addition to the rest of the World... They speak German, they invite local people to participate in the contest and to support the activity, etc.

Does anybody want another DA0HQ in CQ WW?

Quite a similar thing might happen with big US stations, because working domestic stations is always easier. The rest of the World can relax with virtually no chance to win...

One way or another, it would be a totally different contest.

Am I wrong?

73,

Vladimir VE3IAE/EU1SA
