What a wonderful testimony to the "International Goodwill & Friendship"
aspect of Amateur Radio which has historically transcended "Political"
boundaries. I salute you, AL, for your contributions and human kindnesses.

AL is obviously a Visionary, and the results of his focused efforts to
build and his successes from D4B will remain for perpetuity.

On a personal note, when most others fired flames, AL was one of the few
who supported my proposal for a new 36 to 40 hour QRV out of 48 hour
category for the two major DX contests, as he recognized that *everyone*
could benefit for multiple reasons. Thank you again, AL.

Many of us have taken short to lengthy QRX periods from DXing and
Contesting. Hopefully, AL, yours will be a very short QRX, until we all
have the pleasure of hearing and working you again on all bands. I know
Jim Neiger will be working on you to resume QRV, and he can be VERY
"persistent" as I well know :-)

73 & DSW...

Rick, K6VVA
