It is possible it would, but if the rate is slow and you can talk
a guy through an exchange then I do not see how much more it will
slow you down to explain to him that he should work a few more stations.
This sort of activity is going to help your score and it might also 
help the score of someone with whom you are competing but the chances 
are the new station will work someone in a different category.
