         Also keep an eye on Flex-Radio.  The new SDR-X
promises some very innovative solutions to QRM,
(such as totally eliminating an offending station
including in-band splatter).  Their direct-conversion
approach to DSP is equivalent to what the K2 has done
with analog.  The human interface is not yet contest-
friendly but someone will eventually implement the
technique in a contest-friendly format and turn
the world of receiver performance on its head.  Who
will be the first to do it?  My guess is Flex-Radio,
Ten-Tec, or Elecraft...and not one of the JA Big 3.
