Hi folks,
Your favorite Washington contest returns to the airwaves from 1600Z
Sep 16 - 0700Z Sep 17 and 1600Z - 2400Z Sep 17. We have a new digital
category and, as always, will provide a nice photo certificate for
every log entry and hand out the tasty smoked salmon to top scorers!
Complete rules are available at www.wwdxc.org and I hope to net you
for my log come September 16-17!

Rule Change Summary
1) Digital is now a separate mode from CW and Phone and includes any
computer-computer mode. Digital QSOs count 4 points each. One digital QSO
can be made with a specific station per band. (i.e. - you can't work a
station on RTTY, then switch to PSK31, THROB, etc. etc.)
2) VE province/territory multipliers now follow the California QSO Party
Rules.
3) Entry class definitions have been cleaned up:
SO - 12 classes; CW, Phone, Digital, Mixed; three power levels (HP, LP,
QRP)
MO, Single Transmitter (MOST) - 3 classes: WA Club, WA Non-Club, Non-WA;
no power level distinction, Mixed mode only; Club entries must include club
name
Mobile - 5 classes: Single-Op (MOB-SO) CW, Phone, Digital, Mixed;
Multi-Op (MOB-MO) Mixed; no power level distinction
WA County Expedition - 6 classes: Single-Op Single-Xmtr (EXP-SOST) CW,
Phone, Digital, Mixed; Multi-Op Single-Xmtr (EXP-MOST) Mixed; Multi-Op
Two-Xmtr (EXP-MO2T) Mixed; no power level distinctions
4) Band Changes in MOST
6 band changes per hour in MOST, hour starts at 00 minutes each hour
5) County Line QSOs must be logged as two separate QSOs, one from each
county.
6) QSOs with W7DX add 500 bonus points per mode up to a maximum of 1000 (not
1500).
7) Clarification - Mobiles add QSO points from all counties and count
multipliers once only. They do NOT count multipliers separately in each
county or sum scores from each county.
