Just FYI regarding Yaesu FT-1000MP box packing material:

I shipped an FT-1000MP to a buyer. It was damaged in transit and the guy
sent it to Yaesu for damage assessment and evaluation. Yaesu said that the
form-fitting expanded-foam packing material is good for only one shipment.
It is not meant to be reused.

The foam pieces (two forming a clamshell around the radio) was intact when I
shipped it. Yaesu said it was in small pieces when they received it.

Just thought I'd mention that...

Oh, yeah, Yaesu also said they would not repair the radio because the PC
board damaged is not made anymore.
