- NS Wk 13 this Thursday (Friday UTC). See www.ncccsprint.com
- 0230-0300Z (Thursday night US) around 14040, 7040, 3540 and 1815. (Please spread out)
- Wk 13 begins the final 6 weeks of the ladder competition - still plenty of time to get in and compete in the newcomers division if you havn't participated in NS before this year. We'll post a compilation of the Newcomer division scores shortly.
Times: As Mike W9RE notes in his 3830 comments, NS Ladder requires an exact time start --it's a short contest, and we should be minding the time to an accuracy of 15 seconds or better.
-- Multiplier coverage has been outstanding this year -- thank you Mike (W0MU) for MT . . .but we could sure use some activity in the following states:
MN NJ NM PA UT , among others. Maybe an NS Ladder WAS will be in the works next year.
-- W9RE practice and warm-up half hour before NS Ladder at 0200-0215Z, 14040, 7040. Tks W9RE.
Wk 12 Results:
-- Ed has posted results for wk 12 at http://www.ncccsprint.com/results.htm
- The K6VVA NS X-Prize (1st station with a 3000pt score) remains elusive, in spite of a huge score of 2409 from K7SS, operating from K7RI. Way to go Dan, 3rd highest score ever.
-- Wk 12 marked the notable re-surfacing of Dave, now N2NL/4 from Key West FL
-- Our highly spirited competitor and NS Blog author KA3DRR/6 has jumped into the NCCC division . . . good to have you aboard, Scot. Have a look at http://ka3drr.blogspot.com. Even with a zero score this week, Scot remains in a select group of competitors with perfect NS Ladder attendance Bob, W0BH (West Division leader) and Rick, K6VVA.
-- While W9RE and N6RO are way ahead for the East and NCCC divisions, the West leadership is too close to call.
-- Lots of personal records in Wk 12 thanks to good conditions and participation, allowing us to set a new total score record of 34,125. K7NV broke 50 Q's for the first time .. congrats Kurt.
73 Bill N6ZFO/6 (back in So Cal finally)
PS: NS is a contesting family . . . in that light, I'm concerned that WD0T is absent this year -- any info?
