And I guess that "big" derives more from the voice-power and competetive
standing of those than from their number. In WWDX CW 2006 (having no
time limit) about 15 percent of the SOAB-participants operated 30 hours
or longer. And it were about 6 percent operating 30-36 hours
(http://www.dl8mbs.de/40984/45289.html). In the SSB-portion the
percentages were even smaller. So perhaps not too much activity to be
lost with reducing from 36 to 30 hours - but at the same time much
competetive spirit to be gained. Of course IMHO.
