[CQ-Contest] Improper WPX Exchanges

That's my question, Jim. If we're tilting at windmills there's no point.
But if we can foul up the system enough for the contest sponsors to clarify,
or change, the rules we will have accomplished something. Now, in spite of
my argument, I just worked several post-contest operations from the
Caribbean and gave all of them 599. What's with that????

Perhaps, then, casual contesters (I being one) should start to foul the
system by giving honest reports. I certainly will do this in every contest
I play around in, in the future.

Inspired by this thread, I did exactly that for the 90 qsos I made in the
couple of hours I was on in the WPX. I sent a uniform, non-59 report.

I was only calling guys, most of whom had fairly strong signals. I was
running the amplifier, so I doubt that I was very weak.

A very few big guns stopped to note the non-59, but most people were either
very good at logging non-59 reports in tempo, or never noticed the
difference. I suspect the later. I did not emphasize the report, but
neither did I mumble it, I think.

One friend did give me a 51 +30 report. Not sure how that works.

Now to remember to get out the text editor before I send in my log.

Do these reports get checked in the log checking process?
