[CQ-Contest] When it's over, it's over

I couple of the replies to "Did I bust the call?" MIGHT be read to imply that they thouight I wanted to change the log after the contest. Just to be clear, NO WAY!

I was only asking if it were ethical to un-claim a QSO I knew I had botched. (Answer: No.)

BTW, I do think it's OK to correct the log after the test IF you noted the needed fix during the test -- say, do an electronic note in your log a couple of QSOs later ("QSO 385 CK 58 NOT 59"), or write it on a scrap of paper, or carve it into the top of the desk. Those other recording media can be considered part of the log. OTOH, just remembering that you need to fix it is not valid; your sleep-deprived mind is not part of the log (and we won't mention the temptation to supplement your memory with post-contest analysis).
