In two years (low sunspot years) we have accumulated 100,000 QSO's at
6Y1V in just 6 major contests (CQWW CQ/SSB, ARRL CW/SSB, WPX CW/SSB).

A few contests were operated with other call signs and not included in
these totals. These totals also do not include team members individual
logs.

I visited Dick on several occasions in the 60s, after I had once relayed
between Dick
and Danny Weil on Yasme on 15 meters when they couldn't hear each other.

I was pretty sure he never hit 100,000 in a year; here's what one entry
states:

http://www.qsl.net/i0rhz/qkv4aa.htm

Gli anni di fuoco furono comunque il 1976 con 36.480 collegamenti,il
1977 con 31.700 collegamenti ed il 1978 con 48.100. Si calcola
che in sei anni abbia collezionato oltre 195.000 QSO

The hot(?) years were however 1976 with 36.480 connections, 1977 with
31.700 connections and 1978 with 48.100. It is estimated that
in six years it has made over 195,000 QSOs.
