Agreed - it's the self-spotting that has been criminalized :-)

Not quite.  There's no reason for SO to change from being a
"one man and his dog" class and, at the same time, benefit
from being spotted (nothing new there).  It might be fun,
however, to be spotted more often - even if that includes
self-spotting.  Single ops would still have to find and work
mults all by themselves.  Not everyone will agree - I hope
we hear from them.

I'd go along with that.  Are there filters that could control
a 30-minute rule - whether for self-spotting or being spotted
(for those who do not have, or do not want, network access)?
