knows that it had to be a cross of wires (hardware) and not just a cross
between the headset (ears)

Your a classy OP and entitled to more than a few minor mistakes
just goes to show even experienced ops can make mistakes
and that just makes you human just like the rest of us !!!

My hopes are to meat you and share our experiences over a few cold ones
