[CQ-Contest] equipment comment

well, 15 hours for 21 contacts (last ARRL DX ) i do like to have a bit of
time to congratulate myself when i make a new contact. 

it is interesting that all the modern equipment is of not much use in a
QSO limited environment. 

last CQWW i used the venerable NC183 and ARC5 driving a 6AG7/6K6 at a
measured 5 watts out fighting a battle between myself and K7SS. 

i am sure he had computer logging, a modern transceiver etc, but 5 watts
is 5 watts. 

sure you get KH6ZM on the first try, but how about XE2WWW?

we both live on the same cliff about 10 miles apart
