This, by the way, is the language I suggested:

"I think the only problem is rule 5.1.3.  I would word it this way in 
English:

*5.1.3* Remote operation of a station with all transmitting and 
receiving conducted from a single location (as defined in Rule 5.1) is 
permitted.  The call-sign used must be one associated with the station 
location.  Receivers and transmitters located separately from each other 
and operated under a single call-sign are strictly prohibited.

I think that with this wording FAQ 40 can be deleted."

By the way, I don't have a dog in this fight, but I believe that rules 
that prohibit legitimate use of new technology are counter-productive.
