[CQ-Contest] Do I need to operate assisted to figure out the calls?

I was operating assisted, but even so, the cluster often either had
the wrong station or a busted call. I prefer to hear it myself before
logging it. In fact, is it really a good QSO if you never copy the
other station's callsign?

I don't think this is going to change until a major contest sponsor
puts an ID requirement in the rules and DQs a big station for
violating it, but it needs to change.
