OK, I'll bite. If you don't know their call, how do you respond as if you
are running?

A better tactic would be to make up a call that could not possibly be the
other station, something obnoxiously long like WN6XYZ. Of course, if they
don't bother to ID they might not correct you.

It seems like a better plan would be to call QRL a couple times and then
attempt the steal by calling CQ as if nothing heard. That sort of thing,
however, could get you a reputation..... 73 jeff wk6i
