Hi everyone
The Oceania DX contest (OCDX) Committee is pleased to announce another new
plaque to be awarded in the PHONE section of the OCDX contest on 6/7
October.
This new plaque will be awarded to the top entrant from Oceania in the PHONE
multiple-operator single-transmitter (M1) category.
The plaque is being sponsored by the Northern Corridor Radio Group and is
dedicated to the memory of Neil Penfold VK6NE who became a silent key in
2010. Neil was the Wireless Institute of Australia federal contest manager
from 1965 to 1970 and the VK/ZL/Oceania contest manager during the periods
from 1965 to 1981 and 1997 to 2000. He was also a founding member and
champion of the Northern Corridor Radio Group.
The Northern Corridor Radio Group will also be commemorating Neil's life and
contribution to amateur radio by using the VK6NE callsign for its entry in
the PHONE section of the 2012 and future OCDX contests.
More information about the OCDX contest rules and full set of awards can be
