Taking the case to the public is only making you look worse.

Quit trying to shift the blame and take responsibility for what you did.

What others have or have not done have no bearing on what you have done.

You publicly admitted to manipulating your log you admitted to a failure 
in the shack.  The rules were broke.

End of story.  It is unfortunate but it happened.

Learn and move on.
