[CQ-Contest] Assisted / Non Assisted

I hope I speak for 100% of the contesters on this thread, but there is
NOTHING personal against Randy. I have the utmost respect (and awe) of his
ability as a contester and I appreciate the hours of work he puts in on
behalf of all of us. I even appreciate him starting this discussion.

The issue is one of principle, philosophy, and what we believe is best for
contesting. Our discussions can contain strong viewpoints, yes even sharp
language and "digs" at the other position. But that should never descend to
personal attacks on the individuals and I hope that nothing said has been
construed as such. Randy is in a unique position managing one of the top
international contests and giving him input on varying points of view is
important to everyone. A system that is inclusive of varying capabilities
and preferences, and recognizing that we are a large group of competitive
individuals working from those differing situations and viewpoints will make
the sport stronger than by lumping everyone into one category.

Jim, K4QPL

I agree with Steef 100%. I have been following the discusion on and off
and in my opinion some of the reactions are out of line.
Come on guys, we know better than that.
Kudos to Randy.
