[CQ-Contest] How close to salt water is close enough?

Hi Mike

Someone did a study of this and published it in QEX or NCJ a while back. 
  3 yrs?

IIRC, the salt water advantage starts to fall off when you get more than 
1/4 wave away from the water.  Better to read it for yourself, though, 
than taking my word for it.
