[CQ-Contest] K3 help !!!

Need some K3 help

A friend has a K3 with the DVR installed.

When he goes to RTTY / DATA mode , a small icom appears
in the upper left of the main display.

Right near the CWT icon.

Question - How do you turn this off ?

Have tried several things with him over the phone, where
it appears to go off and then reappears when he tries to
transmit RTTY again.

CW and SSB modes are not affected.
