Thanks for your reply.
The TS480 indeed is a very good rig.
It would need the (hard to get) additional 11-12pcs  CW filters, without 
that it cannot be used in a CW contest.

About the IC7200; we can only consider 1st-hand real-world MM contest 
environment experience.
