Actually, Martin, that's one of the qualities of WRTC that appeals to me.

With all the accouterments stripped away, its' essence is the minimalist 
"boy and his radio" (or more accurately "a couple boys (or girls - congrats 
Sandy from Minnesota) and their radio".
