Once again, we are presented with the double-speak of
the WRTC2018 Committee.

They claim to be "always open to any comment", and in
the next sentence they reject ALL such comments -
"we came to the conclusion there is no reason to make
changes to the already published rules". And this in
spite of valid reasons having been presented, and now
rejected without a word of explanation.

It has been demonstrated, beyond doubt, that the
Committee's rules are inconsistent with regard to
treating Assisted and Unassisted as equals for
qualification purposes (in effect, making it
Assisted-Only), and yet prohibiting Assisted in
the event.

If the Committee had the courage of their convictions
they would permit Assisted in WRTC2018. We all know
they won't do this - because then it would no longer
be a radio championship. It seems to me the WRTC2018
Committee is in a lose/lose situation of its own
making.

The WRTC2018 Committee members may continue to bury
their heads in the sand and hope that the fuss dies
down. It will not - it will run and run until the
inconsistencies in their rules are addressed.
