[CQ-Contest] Why would a DX station not want to do a contest?

I did not mean a DX station, but one from Europe who travels to a DX
location just for a contest weekend.
For a DX station like you, as I understand not interested in contesting, I
don´t see a need to participate in contests.
And nobody is obliged to spend money on QSLs.

Reason #8, He does not want to, or can not, spend tons of money just to get
into contests.

1. He can get a pile up any time on air, and worse in contests.
2. He got a ham license to rag chew.
3. He got a ham license to contact home folks.
4. He is offended by impolite behavior.
5. He finds the rules are skewed to favor USA hams, or EU.
6. He does not enjoy responding to QSL requests, to demands that he
use
LOTW, or otherwise mess with QSLs. Two USD for what can cost him
four USD
also does not make much fun.
7. HE chases DX which does not include the majority of contest
callers.
Do you get the idea?
