Why would anyone get a NIL if you did not send in your log.

I sent a log in as a check log a few years ago.  Here's why:

I had a TS930.  No connection to the computer.

Not sure which contest it was but think it may have been WPX CW.

Anyway I was on 20m.  I'd switch the 930 to 15m now and then to see if it
was open yet and then go back to 20m.

Soon 15m was getting active and so I stayed there.  Did the same thing
checking out 10m and wound up going there.

The only problem is that I forgot to change N1MM to the new bands so
everything got logged as 20m!

I checked with the contest sponsor and sent the log in as a check log with
an explanation of what I did.

That was the only way I could see to make sure no one got a NIL due to me
not sending in a log.  Worked out fine.
