[CQ-Contest] Cheating

I’m going to have to hoist the “Bullshit” pennant on the starboard yardarm and two-block it regarding Dave’s pessimistic  assertion.

I know a lot of 1st and 2nd tier contesters (and some 7th tier guys like me).  Many of them I know well enough to ask “how’d your grandson do in that cross-country race last week?”

Not ONE of them, under any circumstances, would I ever even IMAGINE fudging the rules.  

Maybe you guys grew up in bad neighborhoods.

I'd bet that the percentage of cheaters would skyrocket if the 
chance to win was there for everyone .. right now most people who might 
otherwise be willing to cheat probably don't bother because it wouldn't 
help them win anyway.
