So Barry, are you saying that your impatience is the other op's fault?

Also, sometimes you "get" suffixes only because the sending station is
trying to "tail end" and doesn't time things correctly, regardless of
whether or not "CQ TEST" or "TEST" is sent.  So anticipating (or not) the
"TEST" transmission is hardly the cause of suffixes only being copied at
first.

Sorry, I disagree with this entire notion that sending TEST is bad.  While
it may not be the most efficient operating method, it's hardly an
impediment.  And it's something I can recall stations, and I do mean a LOT
of stations, doing since I first got interested in contesting back in my
college days -- mid 1970's.

So I just don't see what the big fuss is about.

What's wrong with it is those of us who like to move quickly up and down the
band, not anticipating the TEST at the end, will start replying after the
callsign ends.  Haven't you ever noticed you're only getting suffixes at
times?
